Oh no, what have we here? Our lovely WRH is dying of no-members disease! -- Not that it's a real disease, but it sure is a real problem. Which is why I've decided to do something about it. I know that the loyal members here want to revive the forum as well, so why not? Well, it's more complicated then you think. We have to advertise and advertise -- and finally, advertise. Sounds difficult, right? Here's where I had some ideas.
Staff's Gravestones
So we know that the staff here are awesome. Even the older ones. They've put a lot of work into this forum and I mean A LOT. So a special shout out to my beloved staff, but I've noticed that not all of them are active like they used to be -- because they have a life! Haha. So how about some new auditions for new staff. We've done an activity check for staff and not many replied, but for the ones that didn't, we shouldn't hold up on making them 'off-temporary staff'. That means, change their position to just a member and we can have new staff tryouts. So, incase any of the old staff return, they can still have their account on here.
Advertise Us
I think that a new ad format is necessary for us to flourish. If we have a new layout for the ad, then I can start getting the word out about WRH. It seems like advertising is hard, but if you're as focused on it as I am, it isn't. Also, some staff can post ads around on things that aren't forums. There's this game I used to play, FeralHeart, and it's loaded with literate, Wolf's Rain fans, who LOVE to roleplay. I'd like to say that I started there and we do have some more members. I plan to continue to advertise there as well. We just need some ad-cookies to hand out and we'll be active in no time.
Member Clean-Out
So, like I said with the staff, members that aren't active should be removed. Unlike the staff, I mean they should be removed from the forum. If we have a bunch of old members that aren't even on anymore, than we're wasting member space. Though it makes us look active with the 'over one-hundred' members showing at the bottom of the homepage, it's just a hassle to have a bunch of un-active members. It'll make us look more presentable if we clean our members out every year. Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of members, but active ones.
These are just some ideas for my fellow staff and members to think about. I mean, in all honesty, I think we can pull this off.
